FIRE STATION CARD TABLE PLAY HOUSE

My Grandson turned "three" today. He loved his Fire Station.
Background material: Building Up - Bricks - Red - by BellaLu Studios for South Sea Imports
and Simplicity Child Playhouse Sewing Pattern 1676.
The signs are printed on "Iron-On Quick Fuse" Fabric Sheets for Ink Jet Printers, then stitched.
Hydrant pattern: Cricut "Everyday Paper Dolls" cartridge.

I used the tree pattern in Simplicity Child Playhouse Sewing Pattern 1676.
Cat pattern: McCalls 7253 "At The Hop" 50"s skirt costumes
I added the window to make it brighter inside.
Coats and Boots: pattern: Cricut "Everyday Paper Dolls" cartridge.

This photo taken before round window added on other side.
Fire truck pattern was drawn free hand using Ikea bowls for the tire pattern

Richard Scarry "Busy Town Scenic" Fabric by VIP Cranston 100% Cotton
used on the top, so he could drive his toy cars and firetruck around city.

  2. You used cotton fabric instead of felt. That's what I want to do. But are all the designs felt applied with heat and bond? Or regular fabric? If regular fabric, how did you finish the rough edges? Thanks for your help! I want to make a 'barn' next week for our grandson. Please email me at donitaplatz@icloud.com with answers. I don't check google. Thanks!!
